what kind of repair service your offering if we blow it up? or if it leaks at petcocks? this is 100% going to happen?
how soon till you have a model that you can test? wonder if I can offload my safari quick... I like the looks and the size is perfect. |

You're on your own. This tank was designed without compromise for desert/enduro riding. But I'm sure you can find a suitable location either behind the headlight mask or elsewhere on the frame. .

Ordered mine and super excited about it. I can live without a horn and it bothers me that much I'll figure something out. Just look at it like more weight off the bike. How much longer do fuel lines need to be and do you have a good source for the quick disconnects? Thanks again Ken!

Thanks Dan and to all the others that have placed their orders... this is shaping up nicely! As for the fuel line quick release you can find them at good prices over at McMaster-Carr www.mcmaster.com I run these hand made CPC connectors that I used to build. They work fantastic and are both strong and tucked away. They were pretty labor intensive to hand build, so I gave CJ the rights to build them a couple of years back. He started the project but put the whole thing on the back burner due to the difficulty of cutting the release button channel. I suggest contacting CJ and giving him some shit about being a quitter and all... ![]() ![]() .

I understand we are lengthening the fuel line, but why can we not just use the existing quick disconnect?

You can use the original QD. But if you want to make your tank much easier to remove for service, you'll install QD's at the petcocks so you don't need to remove the crossover line. I also recommend mounting the fuel pump to the engine mount near it's stock location. Then you won't need to disconnect the fuel pump either. On my bike, which is fuel injected, I've removed the fuel pump and eliminated both the fuel gauge and horn. I can now remove my tank in under 20 seconds. This makes servicing a breeze... .

Very trick. Love that it facilitates the death of a truly horrible seat.
