Quick note: The VA tag is pretty close to here for anyone that wants to poach the thing.

I'll do that......hopefully I don't forget. Sometime in October should be my next visit on the bike.

Let us know when you will be back in the eastern parts of NC. One of us will kick this tag or the NC tag (maybe both ) down east and you can play along in these games. I spend as much time as $$ and time allow down east.

I've got just under 1,500 miles on mine and am heading out this morning to enjoy one of my favorite riding areas, the great backroads of SE Ohio. I'll probably put another 300 miles on it today. You know what they say: it's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it!

I spend quite a bit of time in eastern NC at various times during the year. Perhaps we'll meet up at some point. In the meantime, enjoy your V!

Darn Lonewolf. The gentlemen we were talking to over by the river must have watched the Brucing unfold while we faced him in the opposite direction. He had no idea what he was seeing. Pretty epic!

New Tag
This town is called " Heart of the Inner Banks" Established in 1776 on land donated by Col. James Bonner. It is the First city named after a president of the United States. In 1862, the town was occupied by union troops. and was shelled by ships from the river. Take a ride down Water street and you will see a house with a cannon ball still imbedded in the wall facing the river. The house in the picture was built by St. Peter's Episcopal Church as a rectory in 1906. The owner/Innkeeper is a wonderful hostess from Honduras, Virginia Finnery. We stayed there in April in the Dudley room and had a great afternoon wine and cheese party on the front porch, walked down to the waterfront for dinner and sat on a park bench just soaking in the evening looking out on the river. This is one of my favorite places in the state to visit.

the captain must have pulled up just after we moved to the shade trees. Didn't see or hear anybody behind us. If he had been ridin a Harley we would have heard him coming a mile away! Reminds me of the old movie, cannon ball run. The jap team had the stealth car. The cops couldn't
hear it, or see it at night. Rugby needs one... We didn't
know we bruced him till we got home.
