Buell Uly, all shes got, and a low speed stutter, fixed by Drummer!

Sorry this will sound sort of like a plug, and I posted this on BWB also, however I once questioned ina thread way down below.. Is this all the Uly has? I mean after reading about the bike and its wheelies on command, mine wouldnt do it without some effort. Then found out that a flat spot around 4000-4900 rpm was annoying. Add to that a low speed stutter.. And well, I STILL enjoyed the bike.

My bike came with a drummer exhaust that the previous owner had put on, and a k&n filter.

I posted over on BWB asking for some help with the flat spot, I wanted to tune it to rid it of it through ECM spy..
I had several good suggestions, and was about to bite the bullet and buy a new EBR ECM, when Kevin Drummer of Drummer Exhausts chimed in and left me his number asking to call him. SO I did that very thing, and yesterday I rode up to his house, and he did a tuning session on my bike, and actually walked me through it, explaining in detail what each change would do, how it would react, then waited patiently as I blasted the bike down the road back and forth in front of his house to note each individual change.

In the end, the flat spot is gone, the low rpm stutter, is also, and the low idol was finally able to be adjusted without the bike dying. Turns out, when I asked " Is this all shes got?" Well the answer is, that WAS all shes got, its a completely different animal now! This bike is now hard to actually get off of.. I just want to ride and ride.

Its not often you find an enthusiast like Kevin. And I have NEVER bought a bike second hand with a performance exhaust on it, and had that manufacturer leave me his calling card to discuss ways to make the bike better. Actually I have never bought an exhaust NEW for any of my bikes that had the personal Number of the guy who created and built it. He actually spent time with me afterwards showing me how he builds his pipes, and explaining how he gets the gains he does. Awesome product, Awesome guy.

Im thinking my front tire life might be extended.. Its not on the ground much now..

So now that this bike is running proper, I can safely say, WOW... this bike fits my style to perfection..
Lug it out of corners at 1800 RPM in upper gears, and it pulls like a freight train.. get it into the upper RPMS and its a grin from ear to ear! Looking forward to some rides up on the BRP this fall, loaded with Gear and the wife!

Now I need to dial in the suspension a bit, then find out why my right heated grip burns my hand, and the left heated grip barely warms! Small potatos though!

Post up a vid of his exhaust if you can. I might like one for my '09 Uly.

The left is wrapped around a heat sink (your handle bar), the right is wrapped around an insulator (the throttle tube). My buddy modified a throttle tube and mounted it on his left bar along with a left hand grip on his SM610. Perfectly even heating.

That's really cool that Drummer set up your fueling.
