f800GS higher battery
can anyone please advise if it's ok to use a higher amp battery. iso of 140h maybe 16 or 18ah.
i have GPS, phone and 4 aux lights connected, My battery died in the middle of the desert at night. i sure dont want to go through this again thanks in advance

i dont think so, it died last night, there should be an error code displayed for the slator, jump start the bike runs normally but wouldn't start again. i am going to buy a new battery and try it out

If your running more accessories than the stator can handle then you can have as big an amp battery as you want and its still going to go dead. GPS and phone don't use much power, but depending on how many watts they are 4 aux lights is probably to much. The bike only makes 400 watts.

The stock Batterys do fail --mine did. Good one minute-then failed totaly the next.
