Anyone got any pics of an 1150 GSA with GS shocks?

Looking for photos of a 1150GSA with GS shocks on it. Just wondering about lowering and if the enormous tank on the GSA will make it look odd. Before/After shots would be awesome, but any shots someone has of a GSA running the shorter GS shocks would be helpful. Thanks!

I don't have any pictures, but one of my riding buddies has GS shocks on his GSA. It doesn't look weird, but at full compression the front "swing arm" hits the bottom of the tank.

Cannot be, there is definitively something wrong with your friend's GSA tank, maybe a vacuum effect from a vent line blocked, or with his front shock!!! I have a R1100GS (same height and front end than a regular R1150GS) with a ADV tank, no trouble of clearance with the telelever. Many riders have done this conversion, and I have never heard any problem.

I'm in the porcess of hacking a R1150GSA, picture of the front end (Leading Link) where you can see the weird angle of the telelever, and no problem of clearance here with the GSA tank.

I suspect his shocks may be even shorter than stock. It doesn't make sense to me either. It doesn't look "wrong" though, so the OP should be fine if that's his concern.

Nothing to do with the length of the front shock, look at the angle of the telelever on this GS rig (not mine), it goes underneath, inside the ADV tank without touching it. The shock of your friend is done, or the tank shrinked cause a vacuum effect. I have experienced both. The front end (telelever) was in fact touching the tank on hard compression, when I get a tank blocked air line, the one from the canister.

Hmmnn, I'll check to see if that's the case with his bike. Sure looks like his shouldn't be touching...

Oh yeah, this would be a good alternate photo source, any 1100/1150GS with an ADV tank. Do you have any of it sitting on the side stand or otherwise off the center stand?

Thanks!

This is Rav Rev's, he has an 1150 beak and ADV tank on his 1100:

And here's my buddies '06 GSA with GS shocks (sorry it's a crappy picture):

Fresh picture of the same bike (ADV tank, and regular height shock).

Wow, these look great!

These bikes all look awesome. I was afraid the large tank would make it look strange 2" shorter, but not at all! Going to see if I can find someone who might want to trade my ADV Ohlins for some regular GS Ohlins or similarly adjustable/rebuildable shocks. Maybe I'll grab someone's old GS shocks for a 'test sizing' first... I really just want to be able to have a bit better footing, without having to change the distance between the pegs and seat; when I put on a BMW "low" seat, it's really uncomfortable on my knees (and the rear of course, but that's just because I'm pretty sure it's a couple of 2x4s covered in grip material).

Thanks all!

My other GS rig (R1100GS with also regular shock height, and ADV tank), and not side or central stand needed
