Brit Jam 2012 in Haddam Neck, CT

Since becoming a Norton owner, I've joined a British motorcycle club called CT British Iron Association. Their big classic bike show is coming up this Saturday 8/19 at Haddam Neck Fairgrounds. The door prize (raffle ticket included in the $10 admission) is a 73 Bonneville, ready to ride.

I'll be going. Maybe I'll win the Bonnie!

Look for me there, I'll be wearing a geranium*.

I'm going to try to show up but I didn't realize it was a $10 admission until now. I just learned about it yesterday... With the raffle $10 not bad thoguh.. How many people show up for this thing?

If I go I'll also be coming in on a loud DRZ400, in full off road gear, and after 4 or 5 hours of trail riding.. I should be easy to spot so if we haven't met feel free to introduce yourself; although I may have a few dirt riders with me but they're all adv'ers as well..

how's that Norton coming along Bikenstitches?

I'm still going. Although the Haddam Neck Fair in 2 weeks is going to be WAY more fun. The truck pulls are not to be missed.

I went, I saw, I didn't win the Bonnie

It was a brown seat 78 that looked and sounded nice, too!

I saw a quiet yellow DRZ400 being ridden way too fast through the spectator bike parking area, I'm sure it wasn't alcontrast.

I was with Al, I also saw that guy on the yellow DRZ. The best part was watching the people exit the place. Bikes were falling over, sandals were falling off. big girl lost her hamburger all over her and the back of a Harley!

Now I am screwed becasue I went to that show!

I want an old RD or a CB sc S! Anybody?

^^^I was 2 bikes over when the older gent toppled his Shadow.

Mrs Hazard retrieved and replaced the Arai that he nudged off the Duc next to him.

We added to the recessional festivities when I ran out of float bowl gas just before the gate (@#$% manual petcock!), but I did swing out of line before it died so I didn't hold up the parade.

I think I've got some pretty good pics, but I have to get a host account somewhere. When I do, I'll put 'em up here.

Attendance was about 1900 this year, topping last year's by 400. Great time.

The Norton is coming along, albeit slowly. Yesterday I buttoned up the crankshaft and cam into the cases.
