I didn't imply that it's a girly boy's bike, only a fancy boy's bike.
Real men don't get tattoos, they ride a GS, wear pink underwear and brag about it. Then when there's a bar fight, they duck the fight and go home with the best lookin' babe. "Hey Andy" "Hey Guber" "Andy, I can't seem to get a nice girl to go out on a date with me. What should I do"? Well, ahem, Gube, I would just be patient about it. Get dressed up in your best suit and borrow Wally's Chevrolet convertible and go down to the drug store and ask out any girl you want. Just don't ask Barney for advice. Gube, I've gotta go fishin' with Oppie. See ya later" |

Quote:
- front axle 30 Nm - front axle pinch bolts 22 Nm - rear wheel lugs 105 Nm Newton-meters! Not foot-pounds. It's a very high torque in the rear in case you did not notice. With regard to gas, I always use high-test if available. But, the bike will run with lower-grade fuel too, though I do not remember what the actual minimum spec is. I rode my GS for long distances on regular. Get the manual - service manual, not the "owner's manual " booklet. You really should. You'll find there more torque data and such details as minimum octane rating of fuel, oil viscosity, etc. Good luck with the bike!

you may be surprised to find a low front tire can make the rear feel funny.
keep us informed of the outcome
