Factory bags

Anyone know if the 2009 factory side bags will fit the 2013 700/800GS? They have changed the mounting bars, so I'm wondering if the old bags will fit.

How have they changed the mounting bars?

My local dealer has one on the showroom floor that came with the mounting kit installed at the factory (part of the "luxury package") and to my casual eye it looked the same but I wasn't being methodical ... I just kinda "assumed" (yeah ... I know) that BMW wouldn't want to make another version of luggage.

Salespeople here do not yet have any literature or accy. parts listing, so I couldn't compare P/N on any of the stuff...

I don't think they would change the bags either, but the bars are different. My 2009 had the muffler mount bolt going thru the left side lower bar, the new ones don't. Just wondered if anyone had tried the old bags on the new bikes. Guess not.

I just bought mounting brackets from a guy who just took them off of a 2013 F650GS he bought for his wife.

I plan on putting them on my wife's 2009 F650GS, from holding them up to the bike it looks like a good fit.

Parts guy says same part number for 2009 and 2013 mounts.
