The Seeker's Moab Journey

Justin's trip to Moab to compete in the GS Trophy Challenge has hit a snag. He is in BC (Smithers I believe) undergoing treatment for a strep infection in one of his arms. They have him on IV antibiotics at the moment.

Justin, hope you get well soon. The strep can be a scary bug. Don't cut any corners on the treatment. Dick

Dick, They are thinking more that it may be Burcitis (sp?) now. They've wrapped my IV up so I can get a motorcycle glove over it and push on to Prince George. I'm feeling much better today. The Canuck Docs want me to get IV antibiotics for a bit longer until the swelling and redness shows a more accelerated retreat.

No travel insurance. Highly unlikely I'll be covered under my current health insurance. This will be a huge kick in the financial ding ding for sure.

But Moab is still almost in sight, so I'm sticking to optimism now. Getting on the bike for a 4 hour push to P.G. will re-evaluate then.

Keeping more up to date posts here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Trail...35675129806997

and tonight I hope to add to the blog: www.trailsendbmw.blogspot.com

I also have a spotwalla real time map going: http://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?...e50500417d7778

Thanks for the encouragement. Can't wait to see/ride with you all again soon.

I am still in Missoula. Woke up feeling like things were getting worse with my elbow infection. Everyones concern had me feeling like I may develop a flesh eating bacteria and be responsible for the beginning of the Zombie Apocalypse!

So I caved and went to two different docs today. Got yet another type of Antibiotic! I usually stay away from Anti-anything.

Both Docs said get rest and hit the road early for Moab... So it's back on. Heading out early in the am.

Thanks for all the well wishes and support.

Cheers,

Justin

You got TWO docs to say continue the ride to Moab? And Compete?
What does that say for Montana docs?

Whatever, thats great news. Sleep well tonight. Now get off ADV and hit the hay while we talk amongst ourselves.

Justin. Awesome. Glad you turned the corner. Sometimes you gotta let go before you get a good hold. Rooting for you. Dick
