Whistle stop European tour on a 100PD

I had intended to do a ride report but you know how it is. Just a few pics to sum up a trip I did in June. Covered just over 6,000 miles.

Channel Tunnel crossing from England to France. Takes about half an hour - try not to think about all the water above your head.

Belgium

Germany

All looks about what I expected except some how a bit foreign.

A bit long. Maybe you could condense it somehow?

Superb trip and photos Rob.
A benefit of living in the UK I spose, is that 'It's all right there'

Funny to think that it would probably all fit into the state of New South Wales, Australia, where I live.

I think the nests are built by storks, and that some people used to put wagon wheels on their roofs to attract the storks to nest there.

5 days of rain on the way out. 110°F in Turkey which was way too hot for me. Made for some stunning evening views though. See that dark line running horizontally through the centre of the photograph? thats a draining channel, didn't see it when the sun was high and drove into it. That trampled section towards the left represented a 10 minute struggle to manhandle the bike out of it

I was glad to get into Austria on the way back to cool down.

Cooled down more than I expected when the weather closed in. Apart from being soaked to the skin it was beautiful to ride through the mountains in the rain.

Lovely campsite in Austria

You can just about make a stork out on that nest. I sat there for a few minutes trying to get a decent picture. every time I pressed the shutter it ducked down.

I'd never been into Eastern Europe before. It feels different and every now and then you get a jolt to the history of the place.

Look at the date on the plaque. The column in the background used to be covered in brass plate and was the turning point for chariot racing

Nuremberg those are the steps that Hitler addressed the Nazi party from.

A friend moved to Oz a few years ago and was blown away by the size of the place. If I travel more than a couple of hours each way I'd drop into the sea.
