Wow! Am I glad to see another woman on a KLR650 taking a ride through the US by herself.
I have been on the road for 4 months now doing the same, I hope you have as much fun and excitement as I am having.
I'll keep checking your RR to see if sometime we might be in the same neighborhood.

If you ever want to use a polarizer on the G11, I can highly recommend the LensMate. I bought one a few months ago and love it:

And i love the fold out screen! Its great for framing up the self portraits (comes in handy when all that is around to take the picture is yourself.) I recently bought a polarizer for it too. I use the same set up with a basic UV filter while riding to help save the lens from bugs.

Once you start it's hard to stop! The US has a lot of fantastic spots. Possibly see you on the road...Will you be riding south of the border at all?

Hello Alison,
I think I ran into you at a gas station last year in BC. You were on your way up and I just started with my long way down to Ushuaia. I was on a black 1200GSA. Your orange cases are hard to miss. Good luck with your trip. Here is my blog about the trip. I will be following your report as well!

Thinking about heading into Mexico with Feyala this winter for 12-21-2012 at the Mayan temple. but not sure yet, it depends on a lot of things, especially dough!

Cool, We hosted Hewby from Tasmania 2 weeks ago on her way south through Mexico. It is great to see so many women out there riding.

Not super well. I am hoping two years of high school spanish will come back to me...but that was a while ago, so I am not counting on that. I have been listen to audio in the car, and hoping for learning by osmosis, but realistically, I just signed up for an immersion course in Antigua, Guatemala.
