Looks great!

How do you like 'em?
Cromwell is about halfway from PoTown if we meet at Toymakers?

I messed around with hooking the brake switch to the bags. The switch itself wasn't happy about the xtra wiring.
It didn't last long. The bags are wired for running only.

At this point, it's not wired because I don't feel like to draw holes on bags

bump

These are such lovely machines.

My life has finally taken some new, interesting and financially beneficial turns and it looks like this winter will be /2-time. I mean, who doesn't want to see this run?

I still have the bars... on a shelf.

A friend of mine in Mineral Bluff GA did the painting. I got most of the prep work done, and let him work his magic.

We used Tim Staffords paint code, and lucky enough had an orginal Dover rear fender. Under the tail light / tag bracket we found unfaded Dover White, which was very different than the rest of the "original" paint that the sun had worked on for 35 years!

Got the final drive back together tonight, so final assembly this weekend. Been a long road, but riding to Barber will be special!

I could never have one because it'd get too dirty/greasy, but I LOVE Dover White /2's.

That will be quite a nice trip. I'll be on the lookout for it.

My "revised" bike will be there: http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps1e42a996.jpg (link to photo since it's a later slash-model)

The "local" ADV link to Barber's is at: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=826867

Assembly is complete! Valves set, carbs close, fluids full, bolts tight, timing set.............. I got everything picked up,
and had to just sit and stare.

The /2s really are a classic look!

Tommorrow I'll see if she will run.
