after 4 trips to Mexico, 5 trips on the WABDR and countless other ADV rides around the PNW, Colorado and more I thought I was one of the lucky ones... however it looks like the UTBDR was the final straw

Stock shock? Indy kit?
I also was just down on the southern part of the UTBDR, but I took the WR. That made Lockhart a lot easier. Sorry about your shock bolt. I originally had the Ralle Moto brace (the one you linked) and eventually switched to the Indy kit when I switched from the OEM shock to the Ohlins. No problems yet.

I really don't get it... Why do people keep buying that stupid brace when it has been shown that you can still bend your shock bolt with it, it is more expensive, and the Indy kit has proven to be completely problem-free (AFAIK)?

Got Indy kits in stock for aftermarket and stock shocks. About half the price and more effective than the Best Rest bracket. I ship worldwide. PM me for details.

The Indy Kit is about the only part of my F800 that I have total confidence in now. I'm eyeing the rest of it suspiciously. Not letting my guard down.

2 up and camping gear on fire trails, the top and bottom Indy kits have been to hell and back.

I can't see how you could punish them any harder. Jumping the Grand Canyon.....maybe...

Nothing personal against Best Rest, but you're heading down the wrong path.
Indy is the way to go.

I bent a 12.9 with the Ralle Moto brace installed. Have the Indy kit now (top and bottom) and everything is looking great after a full season of abuse.

I'm a fat fart at 220lbs without my gear and since I replaced my slightly bent stock bolt with the Indy kit all is well.. Lots of bumps and a few jumps...
The kit is cheap, easy to install and actually works....

I got the Indy top kit and never looked back. Have people been bending lower shock bolts now?

aaah - so you got that brute force lowering kit installed.... -

So the Indy kit is a must for all aftermarket rear shocks. Did you guys - with the indy kit - bother getting the stronger bolt as well?

Also is the Indy kit available for all after market rear shocks or just lmited to Oehlins?
I am think of upgrading the suspension on my bike - not that really need it.

Indy upper kits are available for stock shocks or any aftermarket shock for the same low price ad include a stronger grade bolt.
Just specify which shock you have and which country you need it shipped to when you PM me.
