Great RR guys. I was just stunned by northern NV on the TAT last year and found it some of the prettiest, and most difficult, sections of the trail. Have to do it again some day soon.

Day 3
Day started with a great breakfast at the Outdoor Inn and after helping Mike get his bike turned around on that nasty powerline road we hit the main road up the pass, we stopped about half way and layered up and put on jackets the wind was kicking up and the temps were dropping fast. ![]() ![]() Made it! ![]() ![]() ![]() Notice the SAW on Dr Dan's backpack it came in handy last year but I'm sure the only reason he took it this year is he thinks it makes him look badass. ![]() Wild Bill ready for action! ![]() WOW! that gear is almost as tall as Scott. ![]() Exploring the ridgeline covered with pea sized gravel ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We lost alot of time on this road the views were Amazing! ![]() I dont think Mark put his camera back in his case for over an hour. ![]() Get a good look at Marks Husky its one of the last times you will see it for a few days with a kick stand in action. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Back to the heat of the valley floor. ![]() ![]() ![]() I did not take my camera out too much after this, I was getting beat down from a long days ride I think we all were at this time so Dr Dan was on the look out for a camping spot before we run out of daylight. ![]() Camp! and just in time the sun was on the way down, great spot but the ground was as hard as steel, bent a few tent stakes and cut my hand good on one but lucky for me Dan and Scott helped me set up the rest of my tent while I mended my wound. Some how my bike turned into the a battery charging station for everyones gps, gopro and camera batteries good thing I had a newer battery on the bike on the morning of day 4 it was below freezing and everything was covered in frost.

only crummy $20 camera pics from me from me Marty, sorry
thanks for checking in thoughThis was one of the places the guys hit deep water last year, was just a trickle so no wet boots..... ![]() don't remember where this was, but if there was a way up to the top of that hill we were there shortly ![]() nice road, wind must have been blowing dust off quickly ![]() we hauled but on this road, it was fairly rock free for a change and we were making time late in the afternoon ![]() this was a hill that we had come down the 1st day, of course the pic doesn't show the gnar, But Mike had asked me the 1st day if I thought I could get the KLR back up it. No problem other than I had a clogged filter foam and was riding using 1/4 throttle trying to beat nightfall so didn't want to fuss with it. ![]() this one was a classic case of picking the wrong line, doesn't look like much but there was a shelf right there, the good line was on the right,

What an incredible trip! Shows that you don't have to cross international borders to have a serious adventure. Thanks for taking us along.

Hey Mark, How about if you put up some more of your cool pictures while we wait for Scott to come back from wherever he is?? I know you have more! ![]() More from day 3 from me: ![]() A happy Dan is a good Dan! ![]() Everyone is trying to figure out where the hell we are! Actually, I think we are all changing routes on our GPS units. ![]() ![]()
