Miles and miles of Street legal only BLM two track north of Catherdral City. North side of Hwy 10. North of the monster sand hilll (Edom I think it's called.) thats now all off limits. The hill is private property.

Probably head northwest through Oro Grande, Helendale, and out to Shadow Mtn area as far west as Hi Vista north of Lake LA. Fuel at Silverlakes/Helendale.

Ride has everything, including lots of singletrack west of 395. Nothing technical, just fun flowing type riding. There will be sand and sand washes. Powerline roads and some pavement will also be included.

The route is not set in stone, but weather looks to be great for anywhere in the desert.

My son came home from school last night for a couple days. We're heading out mid morning for Ridgecrest so he can race the Viewfinders Classic Scrambles. Gonna be and awesome day.

Lots of race trips for us this month, 21st up to Red Mountain for the Ghost Rider Enduro, and the 28th in Lucerne for the 100's MC National Hare and Hound. I aint racin, I'm the team manager, crew chief, and cash flow guy!!
Thank god my son has been fortunate to pick up some good sponsors for 2013 to help with his race budget.

When the weather really cools off anyone want to ride the old Barstow to Vegas race course from I-15 and Minneola to Rasor Rd for gas, then back to Barstow via Afton Canyon? I'll blow you away with the route I have out there.

Glenn you wanna let me know a good place and time to meet you when you have it all soorted ? I'll be coming from Stoddard Wells Rd at Dale Evans. Just south of the Dale Evans off ramp at 15.

EDIT: Glenn I have too many guys coming to my Stoddard gig Saturday to bring along... or leave in the lurch. I gotta pass on your ride and play Julie Cruise director at mine.

Maybe we can still make something happen Dec 1-2 or 7-9.

I'm having knee surgery on 10/30 ( another scoping. clean up torn miniscus), buying time before knee repacement.My ortho doc of 20 years told me 2-3 more years max and I have to get the new one. More than likely back to light dualsport riding by Thanksgiving weekend.

You ride weekdays ? Sounds like thats the only way we will sneak in a ride before you go out for surgery.

I ride alot of fridays with some LAFD buddies.

Right now we have friday 10/26 penciled in. Long desert dualsport ride.

No Saturday. Just going to be an easy cruise out toward Shadow mountain area. My knee is shot so just a sight seeing ride, nothing technical but some fun trails. I'll be moving slower than normal.
