Iron Horse with the BMWMOGA this weekend was great weekend. Plenty of folks around the lodge headed for gravel (it was good to see a good number of Honda Transalps coming back clagged in traditional dual-sport cammo at the end of each day). My runs were all tarmac, including Cherohala Skyway West to East on Friday; Wayah Rd West to East on Saturday; NC 28 south to Franklin and then US 441 etc back to Atlanta Sunday. Perfect temperatures. Dry camping at a great site – Iron Horse is a nice facility and the BMWMOGA camaraderie just added to the fun. Logged 475 miles total and 38.4 mpg on my 1994 R100RT. Put it on the calendar for next year if you get the chance.

Mostly recovered.

Drip drip in final drive may be plugged.

Heading for the hills tomorrow, Duncan, Flatland, etc.

Not a real early start as BBQ is going to keep me up. Anyone headed that way?

Okay fellas, our good buddy BMW Blake will be in town and has requested our company. I was thinking Arizona Pub again as it worked well for parking and that nice big deck was pretty sweet. We got to oggle our bikes as we ate and drank.

So November 1st, its a Thursday, let meet Blake for some food and drinks. Not sure what time as I'm not sure when he'll be out of his work thing. So lets say for now, 7pm. He's ridding, so you should too!!!

Do me a favor and shout out here if you're in.
