Mexican 1000 2013 BIKE TRANSPORT THREAD
OK- I decided to start another thread- because I think it will get some amount of traffic.
I'd like to grab the reigns here and set up a bike transport expediter for the racers. For everyone who is not from SoCal.. There are 3 parts to this whole adventure. 1. Getting Bike and gear and yourself there 2. Doing the Race 3. Getting Bike and gear and yourself back Part 1 and 2 are as much of a pain in the rear as anything else. If there could be an expediter set up to collect bikes in a couple of strategic locations in the USA and pack them in a container and deliver to Mexicali. Then racers can fly Southwest Air into San Diego, and then Fly back out of Cabo. Then at the end- Pack the bikes up in Cabo and send them to the USA. Racers are responsible for getting bike to and from USA based transport hub. I have 3 warehouse locations capable of accepting bikes and gear to consolidate for a load. (NEW HAMPSHIRE, TEXAS, L.A.) I have at least 5 bikes coming out of TEXAS. I can get my logistics team to come up with costs for a 20' and 40' container. Price would just be a split between however many bikes we get in there and back. Anyone else need this kind of assistance OR could help set this up? Someone already doing this so I don't have to re-invent the wheel?
