Yes, it is a valid option...plus it's so close to my house. I hit Aliso Trail, through Whiting Ranch, stop at Cook's, then up the grade, drop the luge, back to Cooks for a drink, all down hill the the house....well if they close the gate for good I know I'll be riding :)
Not too far for you either coming from the other side, too bad one of us had to travel far. Oh well.
