Last year I did this on my CRF450 - awsome ride.
This year I will doing this event with a passenger, my GF, on my KTM 640 enduro (easy route!). We did a 5 hour ride in mammoth last month - no issues. I did buy proper dust masks for this ride. Trying out the 'wolf snout' as my bandana last year was awful. |

easy route? ![]() there is the regular route.... hard way off shoots from the regular route.... and there is an ADVenture route. even the ADVenture route is more than just gravel roads. 4 years ago we took some short cuts through the ADVenture route cuz of a flat and other bike issues that put us behind, and i will say there was some slightly difficult sand/deep gravel to go through. we saw a 2 up BMW 1200GS and they were all over the place. sand snakes for miles. looked like she had walk part of the way as well. good luck!

True there isn't an easy route.... 'Adventure route' sounds more fun than calling it the '200 mile sand wash route'.
The easy route is the main highway! |

I started solo and hooked up with 3 different groups at several different times. Surprising how spread out riders get, theres a lot of space out there.
Funny not seeing anyone for miles and then come up on a group all riding in circles trying to find the correct course. Have your shit together cuz it's really big out there! And yes I passed by the sweeper crew after dark coming into Barstow in the last bit of a steep axle deep sand climb. Good stuff |

I am in for both days........This year instead of the KTM 450 or 640 I thought I would mix it up a little so I started building a TTR 125 last month for the LA 2 B 2 V and it is almost complete......so if you pass me wave!
If I pass you I will see if you need assistance..... Here is a sneak peak....and yes as of this morning street legal..... and my Nevada Plate will read............... B2V ![]()
