Oh, yes! that would be great! We were supposed to go this year but Things Got In the Way. I'm getting there next year come hell or high water.
We could meet you in Nova Scotia. We would be trailering the bikes down and might leave them by the ferry in North Sydney (I'm never riding a bike through that nightmare of pavement in Quebec again.) I'll contact Skibum and see if he's got a date for the Soiree yet.

So....a face to face ...eh.....do I bring boxing gloves or a sharp stick...?...lol
We still haven't talked enough about when we are planning on going yet to even set a date yet, so I can't say when we are planning on being there. Last time we went we had great weather while on the Rock but shitty weather all the way home.....I even broke down and paid for a room! This time we will slab it to the ferry with some gusto and then slow way down for the ride the rock part of the adventure. I will say that paying for a bunk on the ferry is the best way possible to cross.....worth the extra pennies. It would be nice to put a face to a name as usual when you meet people you have been chatting with over the years. We have to go I would think before school starts.....well maybe not as the daughter will be looking at a college and not high school by then....I'm not the bodss...so I do as I'm told don't ya know. ![]()

LMFAO......if you have one I'm doomed then.....lol. I'll depend upon the modded engine to keep the heat in my engine.....lol.
![]() If I were to try again, I like the more compact version of it....not sure who makes it but I like the idea of it being compact and I think it has more stat options ...but I could be mistaken. Always look forward to meet new folks who share the same love for our bikes and adventurous spirit.

The schedule is for first and second week of August. I'm calling the ball on this one. Hope we can meet up with the Remarkable Ms. Dresda and her mister again, as well as Willeys. AltasEXP is solidly in. I want to run the Gaff Topsails and Gros Morne Park. This will be a Canuman trip. Plenty of picture-taking opportunity, and should offer some good food. I've just discovered hominy grits. They are filling and tasty. I'm going to cook some now.

Come on over to NBDSC.ca and say hi. You'll have to sign up as a member and post something up since the site is members only due to incessant spambot activity. Once you do get in, have a look at this ride report:
http://nbdsc.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?...p=14475#p14475 "2-WEEK WANDER (Newfoundland '08)" Its a rather picture intensive report with something like 230 pictures on the first page so you'll need a good computer and high speed connection. Its almost all off road and worth checking out. |
