And get the clear paint protectant film...

I absolutely love the GL bag. When you dial in the routine of how to organize, load and mounting and unmounting the bag, you will too if you haven't already. Heat shields are longevity for the bag. And making a stencil of your side panel rear half for use as a template to cut out paint protectant film adhesives, which will keep scuff and paint marring away.

Also if you and a top bag above your GL, it works best that it has top zip. And load it with those items in need of easy access.

It all depends on how you mount the GL. I mount mine a little further forward. I can't ride with a passenger with it that way, but it gives me a bit of back rest, allows me to have a top case behind it, and allows use without shields.
