Pram Track

The Pram Track runs through the Akatarawa Forest (Wellington Region) between Maungakotukutuku (west end) and Karapoti (east end).

There's lots of terrain surrounding the Pram Track such as Hydro Valley, sections like the Roller Coaster (some rocky faces but otherwise easy), deep bogs around Orange Hutt, the Devil's Staircase (easy downhill but challenging uphill), the Rock Garden (some drop offs that can be tricky uphill), plus a few river crossings that can get too deep after heavy rain.

Its just coming into winter now so the clay is getting slippery and the puddles and bog holes starting to form. Just gonna post some pics from rides through this great riding area; would be great to see other pics from rides in this area too.

Cheers - Cam

That's a great spot. Been in there a few times myself.

Welcome to the mad house.

Mark-S has a couple of pics from that area over here...

Welcome Cam

My son and I often go for a potter in the Mungy's so we'll be interested to see your photos and maybe learn the location of some new tracks.

What do you ride and which side do you normally go in from? - maybe we'll catch up on the trails sometime

cheers

Mark

Yo

Finally logged into this thing .. first time on since I registered back in April/May.

Its back on the 21/18s with new TKCs now... back hangs out a lot on corner entry but overall much better to ride... really needs the smc front end for the 17s to work although it is fun on twisties like that.

Might do a run over the Paekak', Pram and 'takas tomorrow... weather is good... and off to spend the w/end on a former client's farm in the Moutere... life is good.

Was good working with ya and all the best mate.

Cheers
