Thanks Nelly, my skills go up mostly due to hbmicheal and his quest to kill us both. He even does all these trails, er I mean fire roads, without gear.

I'll try and make it up tonight, but need a stpler to finish the damn seat. The handheld heavy duty stapler just isn't heavy enough. Perhaps today at work I'll cajole one of the machinists to hook me up at the shop.

I have a stapler if you need one. It worked on my seat so should work on yours. We can meet prior to get it done if you don't get hooked up at work.

Well that was interesting...

while on the way up to the peak it seams most the gates were closed...

nobody at the top so shot back down and thanks to whomever did all the trailwork on grinch cutoff, who's at the gate?

hbmicheal and chillum, so we head to trabuco and up to joplin to camp, but i lose them and head back down to find hb and
we head back.

what happen to you chris and the rest of you FFers.

That was fucked up! I finally made it up to the CLOSED gate around 830. The sheriff was there patrolling at the same time. He said CNF will be closed for the next 4-5 days due to fire danger and the Santa Ana Winds.

Sorry we did not hook up. I'm thinking to do Rohwer or Gorman next week….

You and hbmike took off up the trail while Jeff and his buddy rode up behind us. I talked with them a bit while we watched the OC Sherrif sneak down Trabuco Creek Road with his lights off. Jeff and friend wanted to go to the end of Holy Jim so I rode with them. We waited to see if you two were coming down, but once started on the trail you get focused and can ride for quite a while. Bummer, it's always a good time to ride, just didn't have it hooked up to wait for everyone :)

Seen about a million mountain bikes. Also came across a group of young people on the side of the road with the biggest bong I've seen in awhile. I let them know a predator was creeping up the road.

Cook's tonight....5:30 pm. $5 Fish n' Chips. Friday Fish Fry.
