r80st front break caliper questions

i noticed a thread last week (i think) where a guy had a picture posted of his r80st that has two front calipers.
i would seriously like to do that to mine. is there a certain part number that i would need to look for, for the left side caliper?
also what else would need to be modified.......thinking spacers or whatnot.
from my understanding the g/s and st calipers are different.

I have a G/S which I have fitted twin discs and a friend has an S/T which he has done and they are the same parts. It was a while ago but from what I can remember the wider spacer has to be remade 5.5 mm longer, in theory you need to replace the 12mm diameter master cylinder with a 16mm one but in practice if the 12 is in good condition it will do the job, we have both used stainless steel hoses. The extra calipers and discs were bought second hand from a breakers.
If it's in the Touratech catalogue then you don't need it

i have a stainless line on there now, it is only about 2 years old.
i did not know about the larger master cylinder though. where can you get one of those?
since i ride in traffic everyday around here, i have people pull out in front of me all the time, and i would just like to have a little better stopping power for when i need it.

lochridge... don't bother with the twin disc set up (IMO), you'll be better off getting a front caliper from a r1100 GS (or whatever uses the same one), milling off the tabs a bit (0.158 inch) and using that. I have this setup on mine and it is like having real brakes on the bike. I expect it will be cheaper and lighter than a double disc. once the calliper is milled... its a bolt on bolt off job.
