Talladega National Forest

I was on my way from NC to Mississippi to see my daughter at MSU and took a scoot through Talladega National Forest. It was lovely!

Lots of empty roads. ...

... paved and not ...

Alabama high country:

Climbed up these:

To see the this:

I really enjoyed the tight little roads:

Thanks Alabama! I'll be back!

Cool shots, Sir. I grew up in Oxford, about a half hour from the top of Cheaha and spent much of my misguided youth riding motorcycles and driving all over the mountain. This is a great time of the year for that area as the leaves are just starting to turn.

In fact, a large contingent from the Florida panhandle is meeting on Cheaha this weekend for revelry and meditation.
