Which Horn??
I searched this thread with no luck on what horn upgrade to use. I am thinking probably Stebel Nautilus but can anyone give me some guidance on horns in general? I have to have a better horn but looks like the horn I mentioned is not the most compact but may be the best with 139db rating.
TIA Mike

Hi TenCup
There's lots in here already on the Nautilus compact - there's also a version that's split into two parts to make it easier to mount on the Old Pig. Some folks have had succeess by placing in the Goldwing unit in place of the Beemer's rather sucky stock unit. We've all probably hit the horn to wake up some dumb ass, half asleep driver, only to wither at the measly wimper, the stock unit squeeks out Won't be long till someone kicks you in the shins and asks you to use the search function (a culture thing round here - don't take it personally) If you try the search function and put the little +sign right in front of terms like +stebel +compact ..... and even +harness, you'll be reading about horns - and how to mount them to the GS for about three hours. ![]() good luck - and please come back tell us what you found out, cheers - Bull

Do you have ESA on your bike? If you do, it may require some "creative mounting".

I can;t say if the magnum might be 'enough' horn - looks like a sacrifice of 3db but you'd gain ease of installation

No ESA and have done the canisterectomy so I have room. Thanks though.
I ordered the Nautilus so should be nice and loud.

I'm also considering the Nautilus as the stock horn IS a bit anemic!

Put on the Nautilus horn today. I got the plug n' play harness and it was a piece of cake once I found where I needed to mount it. Took less than an hour to mount and wire it up....hocheeee Mammmaaa it's loud!

Fiamm horns. Used on eBay. But do not enter "Fiamm" enter "Volvo" or "Saab". They used Fiamm horns as standard. The Fiamm name draws bidders on eBay.
