This looks really nice. I like it and I think you could sell a lot of these.
Lots of questions here: 1-It seems this product is available for order on the website, but it is not clear if this product is really a finished product ready for sale. Are any orders right now just "pre-orders" a la Kickstarter? When is this product REALLY available? When can we expect to see actual finished product photos? 2-Does it come in white to match my white F800GS? 3-What becomes of the stock front beak on the F800GS? Can I keep that setup with low fender if I want? What about the other stock plastic bits (side panels)? Do they disappear or get replaced? 4-Can we see a cockpit view? What happens to the stock gauges, etc? 5-Any chance to get installation instructions? That might answer questions 3 and 4 above and give people a better sense of what is "in the box" here. . Nice work. I applaud your initiative and wish you best of luck!

Hello Gumbeaux
I am glad that the hull RallyComp X is to your liking. The product without plexyglass is ready for sale. At present, the average waiting time to receive the kit directly to the apartment is about 10 days from the date of purchase. The hull we call crude in glossy white ABS, which can also be used as is without paint it. All the original fairing BMW is removed except for the airbox cover that remains in use. The original BMW chassis support lights / equipment is removed. The kit includes a new chassis from billet aluminum, support lights, instrumentation and will be available in a few weeks the door gps / roadbook. If you need further information please do not hesitate to ask, you can also write to info@specialthings.it greetings Manuel fairing view from the driver's seat version without plexyglass for the version with the Plexiglas must wait until the next EICMA in Milan http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...=803960&page=3 Manuelv screwed with this post 10-26-2012 at 09:36 AM |

Is the height lower with the plexiglass setup?
How much higher is the top of the fairing than the oem height? |

Is this set up capable of riding trough real off road? How about vibrations and bumps?
Thanks in advance. And of course, one more question: are you guys up to ship this to other country outside Euro community? Maybe I can be the first buyer from South America...

the fairing with PLEXIGLAS bottom is shorter than about 70 mm compared to that closed. anyone who wants it is possible to have a PLEXIGLAS high in order to have a fairing high as that closed. Compared to the original headlights (and therefore also the top fairing) are higher OEM of about 150 mm.

From our experience there are no problems of vibration and shock resistance that normally there during off-road use. For shipping there are no problems, we ship worldwide. |
