Great meeting everyone on the ride this past weekend! You SD people have a great crew and some good riding down there! I love all those dirt roads and the little goat roads too.
I'll have my photos up soon...

Though only thing I did not like about the ride was the KTM and BMWs purring next to my tractor. But, I would not want to try and lift one of those. I have to check the valves, if thats not it then... its time to open her up and take a peek at her top and bottom ends.

Hey all, finally got around to getting my pictures up. Here is my ride report heavy in the photos, but easy in the text.
![]() Click the photos to link to the original. I also have the full gallery up here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/isaac_e...7631835977333/ DAY 1 I awoke at the ripe hour of 430am in order to meet Joel, so we could ride down from Los Angeles together. I was going to ride down, but since he was trucking down for just the day I took him up on his offer for some company and a plan to save rubber. We arrived at Otay a few minutes late, but not the last ones!!! It was quite wet though, but I had high hopes for reduced dust.![]() I thought it was only me at first, but sounds like all the glasses people had issues with mist build up. I would have been better off with no eyewear at all. ![]() ![]() Very foggy indeed. ![]() A nice group shot of everyone wondering where Mexico went. ![]() Back to a little pavement, it started to clear up. ![]() Another regroup before lunch. ![]() After lunch, it became very sunny but still a very comfortable temperature. ![]() Dave started following us soon after. ![]() Dakota made a smart move and picked up some local honey. ![]() You must be prepared for anything, says Craig. ![]() ![]() Not soon after, a few more had to split home. The rest of us then headed up Pine Creek, which was a VERY fun road!!! ![]() ![]() We then rolled into camp, which Blake was nice enough to save for us. ![]() The night quickly eroded into off color jokes and lectures about WWIII and Rules of Engagement. Oh yea, and Mike's amazing home brew!

DAY 2
We awoke to a damp fog, but everyone was well rested. Heading down into the clouds and more mist. ![]() We then were deciding if we should head into the flat boring desert, or head up around the Anza trails. Arnie was very quick to convince us that it would be great, so I was down for the ride. ![]() He was right....the goat roads were perfect already with amazing views, even with the cloud cover. ![]() Yes, I do like to stare at my bike sometimes... ![]() Craig/Dakota and Mike wind their way up. ![]() It's now time for things to get interesting! ![]() Mike keeps trucking after a little bike nap. ![]() This was a very peaceful section of road. ![]() The Sunday group shot. ![]() Panoramic shot, click for the original version. ![]() I would love to ride this again. ![]() Craig/Dakota and Mike into some sandy spots. ![]() We then finished off with a great lunch at the Mexican joint in Anza. From there everyone split, and Mike and I headed back up to the LA area. We did one jaunt up Ortega before hitting the 5. Once on the 5, I then hit triple digit speeds all the way home. ![]() Just kidding....turns out my speedo is reading high, usually at 10-40 mph faster then indicated. Luckily it is not causing the odometer to read high too. I'll have to get this one warrantied. Thanks everyone for a great weekend!
