[QUOTE=Rugby Bum;19863874]I found a 2006gsa limited addition with 3000 miles on it. The oler gentleman never rides it, and would like to sell it. It has a two brother y pipe and exhaust, 3 piece luggage set and a bmw gps. I would rate this a 10 out of a 10 for condition. The blue book under states the value. What would be a fair price.
Thanks[/QUOT-10E]

I only know I paid 11k for mine with 10k miles four years ago. Extra's were BMW side cases, Touratech tank bag, and a Marseille soft rear bag. Paid the asking price, and am very happy with the ride 37k on the bike now. so, if that luggage is the heavy duty BMW stuff, that's worth 2k.......... I'd pay 8-10k......... or more if I had to. One thing about the bikes that aren't ridden that much, rubber seals ( like in the ABS unit ) can dry out. My buddy bought a 2006 with 600 miles on it, two years ago, and had some problems with the ABS and I think the clutch.

All in all, it's a terrific bike, you will most likely keep it forever so pay what you need to pay. Oh, and there's not that many around................

RomaDakota--Ya gotta find the bike first and THEN grow 2 inches! Just giving you crap. Besides the Y-pipe and the 3 piece GSA luggage package it also comes with PIAA lights, kick stand skid plate, GPS, throttle lock and a BMW tank bag. He's also going to throw in his Rallye 2 pro jacket / 58, which is my size. I just offered him 10k for the package, which he has accepted.
Later,

Waiting for pics.

You did GREAT, especially with the $$$luggage package$$$$ not to mention the add-on's!

I gave $9k for mine one year ago. Came with a Givi top box for storage and a couple pairs of Hella lights and 24k miles - otherwise stock. I believe got a fair deal after seeing what comparable bikes were going for at the time.

Happy Trail Panniers on my 06

Added the HT panniers earlier this summer. Love them so far!

Enjoyed a trip to the NC outer banks. Perfect weather and my first time putting her on a ferry.

Hey, any of you have to replace the chain tensioner on the left side? There's some clicking coming from over there after the bike warms up, sounds like noisy valves, but I've adjusted them three times, and they're perfect.

I've done it on my bike and two others. I can help you with it but I'm gone every weekend until April 26/27. If it can wait til then, I'd be happy to show you.

Thanks!

I'm not so concerned about doing the job as I am about diagnosing it. What kind of noises was the bike making before you did it?

Ah, . Pretty much like you described, my valves were dialed in but there was a noise coming form the left side of the bike. I'm not sure I would describe it as clicking, more of a tapping. When I pictured in my mind that the cam chain might be loose, that was the sound I pictured in my mind.

I took me about two hours to do the job, but 75% of the time was spent on one step, hooking the spring. For whatever reason, I had difficulties. The two subsequent times I helped friends do it, I had no problem and did the job in an hour.
