Just a note about the Pioneertown road condition,it hasn't been graded in years and has some very rocky sections and deep sand in the canyon area. Big Bikes would be difficult.

Couple/few weeks back. Nice trip, staged out of the Coxey Canyon area, took 2n14 to 2n16 out Holcomb Valley to Big Bear, down Cactus Flats thru to Pioneer Town. Nice lunch. Some rocky spots where it could be trouble for a gs unless really experienced and can keep momentum. Also some sand patches. I took my xr600.

Might be riding that again this weekend. Was nice.

I rode to Pioneertown two weeks ago. While it's not silky smooth, I was thinking to myself that I could take my GSA without being too concerned. The sand towards Pioneertown was also almost entirely gone, compared to last year. Smooth sailing on the DRZ-400s.

Im new here but not to riding, Got me a big bike and small bike and like the hard stuff. And am content with the slower stuff as well. Keep me posted on rides.
