Looks fantastic.
Does it auto generate the roadbook by creating waypoints in Google earth?

here is my cheap and cheerful attempt. be used mainly for touring as i like scribble down routes and notes before i leave as find can be more acurate than a gps some times.
I fitted a koso Xr-Sr dash and Free2Ride roadbook. Next time round if i can save up (money was tight hence koso dash) i will fit with a touratech Imo or the SiXo dash witht he F2R book

Sorry meant ask also,
what printers can you buy to print roadbooks. i did the whole printing on a4, cutting and taping but its total pain and sometimes tape sticks out and sticks on rollers causing it to tear.

Hey Dan looks like I'll get back on that this week, had a lot of things going on lately and something had to give, should have parts before Thanksgiving, that's the goal anyway.
The last few weeks I've been working with cross-country to rig up a frame mounted light system for the Baja 1000, this is what we came up with. Starts with the frame mount, using 3xM8 bolts that has a fitted tapped stainless steel backing plate in the steering stem. Also has 2 side hole to bolt up, but we've found they weren't necessary. ![]() With single 8"HID and 2 Squadron LED's ![]() ![]() On the bike. ![]() ![]() The double 8" HID's are interchangeable ![]()

With the frame mount as a base, next was to make a roadbook holder mount.
![]() With RB holder and a single squadron it comes in at 5 1/2lbs. ![]() Mounted on the bike w/2 Squadrons and stock mask, ![]() They're all interchangeable with the mount. |

Thats awesome work Paul.
Is that with the 1/4" HDPE sheet again? Im about to order some myself. Did you notice much side to side wobble or flex with the roadbook or headlights? I would expect a little bit but I dont want it to become annoying. |

The first 2 plates are 3/8" and are very stiff but can be made to deflect with the dual 8" frame, the RB side plates are 1/4" and flex a bit more, need to test it more before I would call it good, it stiffens right up with 1 or 2 additional standoffs, so in a sense it's tunable. Thing is I've been looking to source 5/16" HDPE and can't find it anywhere in small quantities, Gany I would start with that if I could get some. Tony is the only one that has ridden it with the dual 8's, they're bolted straight to the 2x 3/8" plates and appear so far to handle it very well, also needs more testing, but these setups are pretty promising. What the duct tape on the tank? |

How is the light output? Ask Tony if I can borrow it for a night ride, I would love to see the look their faces when that thing gets lit off
