Update: Giants clinch it in the 10th inning, 4-3 score.
Tigers just didn't rise to the call this year.

Congratulations to the Detroit Tigers for a great season. They really are a talented powerhouse of a team that was, IMHO, bitten on the ass by the long layoff between the LCS and the WS.
That being said, it was just the Giants' year. I had doubts all season long, and at times questioned their heart and desire, but they proved me wrong. Their run through the playoffs has been nothing short of incredible, and I'm of the feeling, as a long-suffering Giants fan, that this championship is sweeter than 2010. My family and I are going to SF later this week for the victory parade, too.

Me thinks once Verlander got pounded and knocked out of the 1st game it took the wind out of the Tigers sails
Detroit pitching other than Verlander's was good - Giant pitching Much Better Princess and the rest of the Tiger hitters didn't show up whereas the Giant hitters consistantly did when it counted Look for the Tigers to rid themselves of Jose Valverde, Joaquin Benoit and Delmon Young in the off season Detroit had a Good Run this year just not good enough - Congratulations to the 2012 World Series Champion Giants
