i am totally amazed at all the monday morning quarterbacking going on here. why do you even give a rat's ass that someone's hanging off a bike that doesn't meet your approved lean angle?

i have seen the pic, and she's anywhere from 30-40 degrees leaned over - plenty for the street, and if she feels more comfortable - and safer - hanging off when she's doing it, more power to her.

what a bunch of anal eff's posting to this thread. i shoulda known from the beginning, when everyone was going apeshite over some poor bmw gsa rider for crossing the center line a wee bit, when in all likelihood, he was simply taking an easier line, after judging no one was in the opposite lane up ahead, around the corner...

Maybe she's just entering the actual corner and is setting up for the tightening turn...

and back to the big engines. I remembered this picture from earlier and it allows a nice sense of scale to be seen. For sure not some of the way larger ones mentioned but still would be pretty tough to build a frame around this one and put some wheels on it.

While all you FF's are criticizing this gal, there's a dude somewhere taking that awesome motorcycle riding gal out for dinner. Now doesn't that just piss you off!

Obligatory pics

This guy could afford to lean some...

And this guy is getting his money's worth out of those pucks.

You start learning somewhere. She does seem a little crossed up, she doesn't seem to be that leaned over for that bike. Still, she is learning and trying. It doesn't hurt to get basics down and work to refine them and make them habit but doing them over and over, even when not truly needed. You build memory in your actions that way. Later perhaps a coach will work with her in opening up some and getting a little better form.

When you only have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Get some more tools in the bag and you learn you can do much more.

She is OK by me. She is trying and learning!

This is true, but when you get to the edge you're done. If the speed you're carrying into the corner doesn't require increased contact patch and lean, then there really isn't any point in leaning further and using more of your available contact patch. A lot of the fast riders I've ridden with get out of the seat and in and inside position when the corner or speed doesn't really make it necessary, and I assume it's just habit that reinforces their form.

As far as I know, that's an original quote.
