This is true, but when you get to the edge you're done. If the speed you're carrying into the corner doesn't require increased contact patch and lean, then there really isn't any point in leaning further and using more of your available contact patch. A lot of the fast riders I've ridden with get out of the seat and in and inside position when the corner or speed doesn't really make it necessary, and I assume it's just habit that reinforces their form.

If none of us ever did anything, until we were good at it, none of us would ever do anything.

As far as I know, that's an original quote.

Later perhaps a coach will work with her in opening up some and getting a little better form.

When you only have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Get some more tools in the bag and you learn you can do much more.

She is OK by me. She is trying and learning!

Gwen you dont think that learning bad habits is wrong? She is not racing but she THINKS she is really carving up the road....now when she really gets into a "make it or crash" turn she will crash...because all the while she was learning from watching other posers on sport bikes. making spark don't mean you can handle a motorcycle. it means you learned how to make sparks.

Interesting.

It must be wonderous beyond words to have been born such a gifted and masterfully skilled rider as yourself.

The problem pops up when people post totally normal shots of people riding in a perfectly normal situation, and instead of being human beings, they turn into Internet Experts On Everything, and immediately begin to critique stuff they don't know anything about.

This is, of course different from me, because I am currently employed as a motorcycle engineer, moonlight as a highly successful road racer, hang out with outlaw biker gangs, and I'm also ex Mossad and a foreign policy advisor to Brazil.
