Ah, that 'splains everything.

We had a decent day of it. My friend brought out his Russian SVT-40 - I had no idea that the Russians had fielded a semi auto battle rifle before the war. Neat bit of history. He thinks this one served in Stalingrad. My Sharps suffered a misfire that has left it with a bullet lodged in the bore. Going to have a wee set-to with a steel rod and hammer shortly.

I'm glad I didn't try reconnoitering the place on my bike this summer. It's more sand than gravel in there, though the road in is deffo more ADV than car friendly

The Winnipeg gang made it to North Platt and met up with Lappeman who beat us here by about 3 hours!
Tomorrow it's on to the Rockies and Moab.

Breakfast at Penny's Dinner...then hit the road... trust me....MOab is truly worth the drive....

I think you guys are still here hiding out at a Sals House or a Dennys somewhere here in the city. It just didn't happen without pictures (to prove it)!

Up date Moab.... 22C today...riding was awsome... only fell off the KLX twice.... a combination of tall bike, short legs and pilot error...

Thanks to Lappeman he got a picture of me inspecting the under side of my bike... (check the Northern Riders Thread)

2whlrider had way too much fun in the sand

Then again, looks like the pool time was pretty good as well...
