TT350 Not XT350

Seems a DR650 spring (6.5kg/mm) fits on a TT350 almost properly.

Better spring rate than stock but a little short...

I got it to 9% static sag and 33% race sag.

Looks from my calcs that the stock spring is about 6kg/mm.

i got one from a yard not to long ago. still have it, it's carbs are craped out and the wireing harness is cut to hell and
the cables are rusted to shit and the only thing the tank could hold is air.. i'm going to revive it.. with whatever i can.. the stator is still good, puts out enough zap to arc to my hand and make me curse. so there is one upside.. and
that's all i need. oh.. and i need a chain to..

material: plastic somewhat
Tank is a universal one for xt, xl, xr 250, 500, 600

Interesting. The XR/XL's have very different mounts to the XT/TT's.
Does it come with a mounting kit?

This is an Acerbis XR250,500 tank and it'll only fit with an XR seat and lots of fabrication.

for the xt 600 43f you need only the same mounts like her

I've got to make some mounts for the pucks as the TT doesn't use them at all. The front of the tank is bolted to the frame.

I need to learn to weld too...

Well the cam chain is replaced. The old one was about 8mm longer than the new one and the old guides were cracked...

Now to get new lock washers, some o-rings, a cam cover gasket and those 4 rubber bungs on the cam bearing caps. Mine are no longer rubber after 21 years of heat cycling and one has shattered...

I was just looking at this thread on Thursday trying to decide if I should put a bid on a complete 350 and a basket case 250...

And here they are when I picked them up.



The 350's tank had blown apart when the owner tried to put some compressed air in it along with some other chemicals to clean some black sludge in the tank, I had the carbs apart to clean the same black sludge from them and i had to put the 350 engine in the 250 frame because the 350 was missing its compliance plate and had a pretty major crack where the right foot peg bolted on.



Just got upstairs after starting it for the first time, and I am surprised how quite the engine is after hearing a LC4 for so long.

still only just started on it, and I also have a 525 to finish and my 640 has a heap of parts on the way so I'll be stuffing around with it in between those two.

Wait, you mean those caps aren't made of a hard plastic?!

I replaced the cam chain on mine recently. IIRC the old one was about 4-5mm longer.
Now I need new drive chain and sprockets. The rear indicators aren't working too good now, but that was probably because of a weekend trip to a farm a couple weeks back
