SC DOR is giving us all a year of free ProtectMyID service, through Experian. Follow the link and use the code here "SCDOR123"

Don't be scared to enter your info, as long as you're on a secure connection. Experian is one of the three credit reporting agencies and already has your info, you're just verifying that you are who you say your are. You can even set up text alerts when something pops up that would affect your credit history.

I heard on Bob McClain that they changed it to free for life.

Really! 3.8 million valid social security numbers. That's the makings of a criminal dynasty. They can sell off chunks of numbers every few years for some serious cash.

I don't have children, so I don't know. But do you have to put your children's SSN on your tax returns when you claim them?

You did better than me. I was expecting a biker gang but they must have gotten lost. it's OK though, I bought dinner for everybody that showed up and we had a great time.
