Hi Guys,
Been on this Forum since last year but just "discovered" it again after a while away on other forums, mainly Aprilia AF1 and Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ones.

Currently have an Aprilia Caponord and a Suzuki V-Strom 1000, (oh and a 05 GS1200 BMW for sale)

I have had V-Strom's for the past 5 years, but only bought the Caponord at the end of 2011. Took it off the road in January (for 6 months) and sorted out all the mods and upgrades it needed, and also repainted some of the body panels and the tank. It is a great bike and as there are only a few of them in the country, it gets a lot of attention wherever it goes.
At first glance, most people think it's a KTM, but then realize it's a wee bit different !!

This is how it looked when I bought it,

and this is how it looks now, taken in Achill a few weeks ago.

There are a few more photo's in the Beasts / Caponord section if anybody is interested.

Look forward to chatting with you guys and maybe meet up some time.

you did nice work on the bike, it looks like a klv 1000 in the orange,
a few on here are going for a big trailievspin on the 14/16 of decemder Turkey Run if you are interested , steve whelan is going also a capnord owner from bray a choice od road or off road spin and staying in a youth hostel

I know Stephen !! He was also on the weekend in Leenane and Achill, but he was on his KTM 990. He used to have a Caponord a few years back. This is Steve's KTM on the Ride out on Saturday, Johnny from Cork owns the Super Tenere.

The DMTC (Dublin Motorcycle Touring Club) have their Santa Run on Sunday 16th Dec. Meet up in the Hard Rock Cafe in Temple Bar, and then ride out to Porterstown and giveout presents in a Womens Institute. We dress our bikes uo and don Santa Suits, and it a bit of craic, and a very worthy cause. This is me on my K1200s a few years ago.

At the end of September, my wife and I, and another couple spent 11 days in Southwest Ireland on a golfing trip. This is where I normally ride , which is in Northern Virginia very close to Skyline Drive and the Blueridge Parkway. I have always thought, and still do, that it's one of the most beautiful places to live....here is a pic.

After 11 days in Ireland however, you folks have a beautiful place to live as well....not to mention great golf courses, great people, great food, beer and whiskey. The 4 of us will return since we had such a wonderful time. Thank you for allowing us to visit. Here are a few pics I took while we were there.
