Any disc brake /6/7, spoked or snoflake, will fit right up.

You'll never find the exact 'blue striped' one ... but a /6 or /7 spoked wheel can be had all day long on fleabay. IMO, buy a cheap straight one ... and when you get it, immediately swap out the bearings. Should last you a lifetime.

Don't forget if you do find a set of Blue Pinstripe wheels to also get the Blue Anodized Ate calipers.
And BTW I think these parts were 1978, not 1977. I was informed of this less than a month ago when I said the same thing.

The '78's came with snowflakes. The '77's had the blue pin-striping on the rims, and the blue ATE's. I'm pretty sure of it.

77 rear wasn't a drum brake on the RS? It is on my S
edit: Just looked at some photos and the rear is in fact a drum on the 77

And I was a bit wrong on the front. Any /6 75-76 will do. The 74 had a smaller axle. |

And right you are. The '77 RS spoke wheels should have blue pinstripes.

The rims themselves are painted silver, not polished aluminum, then striped in blue the same shade as the bodywork pinstripes.
You can find sets of wheels for sale once in awhile. Lots of people removed them in the rush for fashionable cast wheels from BMW, Lester, and Morris. I have a spare set myself for my '77RS. |

That's correct - the BMW wire wheels are interchangeable. But the early /5 rear rim was narrower and the /5 rear hubs are a little different. Of course the 1970-74 fronts won't work either.
And the rims are painted a dull silver with the blue pinstripes. Really cool looking but I'm hesitant to ding them up or rub them too much while cleaning.

They were an anodized aluminum wheel which helped keep the aluminum from oxidizing which helped the paint last for many years. Then them rims where painted and pinstriped.
