I just tested my double 8 hid setup in the neighborhood. Way more light then I've ever ridden with. Bring on the night riding no more single halogen for me.

I ran it in Dakar, and loved it. The only drawback I have found is that it's stiff when cold- don't hit stuff hard in cold weather until the suspension has been moving for a few minutes!

We did some bib wrestling last night and now have all four wheels ready to go.
The bike is looking good thanks to Phils hard work. With everything I've got going on there is no way I'd have the time to prep the bike with a much detail as Phil is. I can't thank him enough for it.

Seems like an awful lot of work. Couldn't you just look at pictures of motorcycles parked at Starbucks?

I'm going to drive to Starbucks and go read a motorcycle magazine. If I feel really good after my triple vanilla mocha skim milk latte Im going to watch dust to glory in my moto gear.

I got lost and ended up at the gym. No moto mag and latte. This instead.
Filthy fifty time (Time) Strength: back squat 2-2-2-2-2-1 50 reps of the following: Box jumps Jumping pull ups Kb swings 35/26 Walking lunges Knees to elbows Push press 45/35 Good mornings 45/35 Wall balls 20/15 Abmats Double unders Its crazy. I added 35# to my max back squat from 2 weeks ago and beat everyone in the class except the two trainers for time. I used to be last every workout. Hopefully this translates to getting through San Felipe with enough energy to go another 850 miles. :what:

Wow. I want to ride to La Paz 2014 (not race of course) and if I have to do half those things (most of which I don't even know what they are) I can't go. BTW, my non-serious responses are only because I seriously appreciate what you're doing. Since I was a kid I wanted to race Baja 1k and have to live vicariously through others.

Why not chase then find a team to race with. Anyone can do it with enough dedication, hard work and preperation. It may take some longer to prepare and more work but you would be surprised what you can do if you try hard enough. 6 years ago I didn't even know what the Baja 1000 was and bought my first dirt bike. Anything is possible if you work hard enough.
