http://www.gpsxchange.com/phpBB2/vie...hp?p=6692#6692 http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...5#post19940015 nice area, alot of rocks, felt like I was riding in a dry riverbed. I guess I went the wrong place. Swashplate screwed with this post 10-31-2012 at 10:28 AM |

That area can be really rocky. If you come in from Lockwood and stick to the main road it's pretty nice. Goes straight thru to Virginia city highlands. I've ridden all over there the last few weeks. Did you hit the petroglyphs?

How about a nice big loop? Dog Valley to Bordertown to Lockwood (not sure how to connect on dirt yet) to VC Highlands and either jump on pavement, or more dirt down into hidden valley / rattlesnake mountain area.

No, it was getting late and I had to head into work as I work the evening shift. Maybe next time, which will be coming in from the water tank near the skeet range road. Were you up in VB that day? I thought I saw a bike like yours, but it went by me pretty fast. |

Hey guys, I rode on the Conklin Camp ride with ya'll, (Mark) in all green on the KLX250s.
I have ridden almost every ride recommended on the NV ATV website in the Reno area, and Lousetown is my least favorite because of the excessive pavement that leads on to big rocks. I'll be available to ride on Sunday, but planning something deep in the dirt & sand. |
