questions

This is our first year. My buddy on a GS800 and me on my 990A. What is the food situation like? When I hear people say stop for lunch, where are we stopping? Is it a pack your lunch and eat on the trail or do they run in to a town or something?

Cant wait though! Thanks

All my buddies are out. I'm looking to join forces with a couple others on big bikes doing the ADV route.

First time LAB2V but lots of desert experience. B level D37 enduro rider. Riding to Palmdale from Costa Mesa, both event days then home from Vegas.

I also have a post on the district board.

Cool2

Isaac004-I went to Motohelp the other night..but got there about 1/2 hour late (effin traffic). But when I got there, I started taking notes. Good info/great people. If you can find a shop that has D37 bi monthly hand outs, you can find the list of gotta haves, nice ta haves and oh my gosh do I really need that...oh shit I need that type of things. If the place wasn't an hour away from home, I'd probably go by again.

I 'JUST' ordered a Scotts damper from George @ ESP. Gonna slap it on and do some rides to get use to it. Also gonna do the Los Coyotes ride on 11-11-12 as a shakedown pre-ride LA-B to V, and meet some other LAB2V riders.

Thanks speedygee. I did find this, which sounds like a useful resource:
http://www.district37ama.org/forums/...ad.php?t=48169

I'm hoping to do a practice run this Sunday 11/4 if anyone is interested. Then either the Husky ride next weekend, or maybe even the Dash depending on what happens. Not sure if I want to ride the weekend before LAB2V.

Had a great day out in the desert today doing another LAB2V prep, perfect weather no wind and had the desert to ourselves. Rode from the beach to Adelanto then via mostly dirt to 4 corners after a bunch of detours trying to get around the El Mirage fence we ended up on the sandy powerline road. Then off to the Husky riding a lot whoops, then sandy whoops, then a nice section of open desert single track with out whoops then finishing off with a fun sandy run up a wash to Bird canyon? Bird spring canyon? and lunch at the Memorial. Excellent ride, long day.
