Thanks to ATR and the Elks and all the sponsors (especially MotoCity and bestdualsportbikes.com)! We had an awesome time this year. No big crashes in our group. I got a flat, but with the tubliss I was up and going again in 15 minutes. I did pretty good in the raffle as well.
Cheers Brett on the Aprilia!

If ever you thought you were a really good rider...you need to see these two to make you evaluate how good you really are.

Here is some more snaps of a few individuals that went through the same area. GREAT TIME Don Hood and ATR. Sunday's route ROCKED...literally...jeesh Don could you put a few more rocks in next year's A loop?
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This poor guy had to buy a new tire after this section...he spun that tire to the cords. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A HUGE thank you to the group from California that helped Ron pull his bike from the 4' deep ditch he went into. So glad it wasn't any worse...could have been real serious.

If this is the fellow we helped on Sunday's A loop I still don't know how that was not an air rescue. There is a God! The Sunday A loop was mighty tough! Thanks to all who made this possible as well the guys from Tucson and Phoenix that let me tag along.

Yeehaw! A big THANK YOU to everyone who attended the 2012 Howl'n at the Moon ride this past weekend. I had a great weekend and it is always a blast to see the familiar faces and all the new faces as well.
Hopefully everybody got their monies worth although I know some of you had to experience the Sunday's routes before you would admit it The Elks Lodge and the Young Community Center very much appreciated our patronage and you all were so good they even invited us back. I know there were quite a few helmet cameras going and I'm sure even more pictures being taken, see above, so lets see what you got. To help get things going the link below is from a rider who goes by gpskevin and the handle says it all. I think he can actually figure out how to load tracks on the Garmin Zumo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ipo3XUNmn0I Again, Thank You to all our participants and sponsors for supporting this event. The proceeds from this event will be going to a good cause, keeping our riding areas and routes open for future enjoyment.

Fuggy,
I am guessing you didn't ride on Sunday's A. It was extreme opposite of Saturday. One tough bitch and almost no Tarmac.

i must have gotten better at riding in the past year. i thought last years b route was tougher than this years a route.
granted, i'm not in riding shape yet this year, so i begged off of sundays loop. it sounds like that's where the "a" came into play. still a super fun ride!

Awesome vid, saw my wife and I in there during the diner Saturday night. I agree with SeaBee's post, Saturday was super easy, much easier than Saturday last year. Was good as the wife had a bum knee that weekend, so I guess I should be happy. ![]() Thanks for the vids guys, keep em comin. |
