You might be surprised. The issue more often than not is awareness, not proximity. With the size of the US, many countries have multiple small consulates. The problem is you are more likely to find the locations from one of THEIR government sites than a local phone book.

Right now I'm looking at a Dutch consulate, Canadian consulate, and Mexican consulate in town...maybe others...now to see which one has a fence, if any.

It's funny that none of them around here have fences. But I'm going out to get one that's "fence sized" even though it doesn't have the surrounding hardware.

I think fence-sized is sufficient.

There are a lot of them that are just signs on a building - just an office. I want a structure.

Be aware that the Mexican one in Raleigh is no longer on Six Forks. It's on Capital near Yonkers. Just in case you didn't know or the bingoogle yellow pages are stale.

So don't stop...take a picture as you ride by, making sure to get a mirror, wind screen or something like that in the shot.

Mexican Consulate.
FB, I was mistaken. The crowds that used to be here have moved, but not the Consulate. If you headed to where I said it was, I relinquish this one. Will check back in an hour.

Sorry, meant to get back more quickly, but completely forgot.

New tag:

Break time!

Breakfast/lunch/dinner/late night snack stop while out riding.

Thanks. They have the entire building, but although there's no fence, it's a paranoid crowd that hangs around this building. Wanted to get in and out quickly to avoid confrontation or I'd have gotten more pics.

Edit: The one on Capital has a big Consulate sign on it. Got a feeling they're moving over there.
