Light solution brainstorm
I saw this picture over on TA.org I thought it was worth pasting over here. I am looking into LED auxillary lights I need more light at night. I was thinking I would just hang them from the crash bars but this picture has me thinking.
Notice the LED auxillary lights mounted in the stock blinker holes and small stalk type LED blinkers mounted off the fairing. Yes it looks like a hole has to be drilled in the fairing but Im not planning on selling my TA for a long time so its my bike my customization. The other LED light solution I have been looking into is mounting a bar/bank/bunch of high tech super duper LED lights in the stock head light area but finding a suitable size and shape has been tricky not to mention pricey once you start putting a bank of LED lights together in one unit. Or two seperate rows of 4-6 LEDs that way there is a high and low function still.

transalp carb sync adapters
I've searched here and can't figure out what I need to sync the carbs on my transalp. Something to screw into the heads? or something like that. What's the scoop?

5 mm barb fitting screws into the intake manifold/cylinder head on the right side after the screw is removed, use the vacuum port fitting for the fuel petcock on the left.

Thanks, though what's a barb fitting screw? I'd guess threaded on one end and rings/ridges to hold a hose on the other?

New, (almost) transalp
Thought I'd post a photo of my almost new transalp. Saw these in Italy and a few here and thought they'd be good for my type of riding. Then spotted this one on the BMWMOA marketplace. 1989, 1900 miles, stock seat and corbin, stock windshield and a tall one, and the fabric bags all for $4500! Had it shipped to Wisconsin, cleaned the carbs and it performs like a new bike. Have added the skid plate and crashbars, soon a ss brakeline, some T63's and a few other add ons. So far so good!!

LED "running" lights
Those have been some nice installations in the previous photos of LED units placed in the regular turn winker fairing openings.
Anyone have knowledge of specifically what/which/whose LED units they are -- manufacturer or seller? Some of the new LED stuff, while powerful, is also somewhat pricey. |

Hi guys. I own 2 Transalp, one dated 1987 with 250.000 km on it and the other one a 1987 transalp with some parts from the Africa twin. I have lots of second hand original parts for Transalp. Would it be agains the terms and conditions to post the link to the pictures over here?
Cheers

I think those LED lights are the Denali lights but I think they are bagged by different brands too. Any LED even in the vendors section would work.
Belgian waffle great pic and feed back. A good horn would be nice! The stock road runner beep beep dosnt do any good.
