Today I installed my new rear rack from www.motooverland.com
Thanks Dave! Before installation on the bike, I decided to do some engraving on the CNC mill with a 1/16" solid carbide ball nose end mill, about .010" / .015" depth. Clear coat is added when machining is finished. I'm happy with it...and ready to add some scratches loll ![]() ![]()

Bugger! But sadly all too common.
Screws should be clean of oil and old loctite. Use blue loctite on the screws and tighten the nuts, not the screws, as tight as you can. |

That will not buff out. Looks as though the major part of the hub is OK....just the sprocket carrier is toast. Might be able to reinforce the swingarm with a plate or 2 but how much do you want to trust it after rewelding it? Not sure if the arms on these bikes are stress relieved and heat treated after they are assembled in the first place. I remember that happening on an IT175 of mine, but with a steel swingarm it was a lot less damaging.

Keep the footpeg rubbers in place and take the whole damn things off and fit Fastway pegs instead.
Really gives a nice level of stability when standing.

Bike parts are cheap, body part and health... not so much. Fix it, ride it and stay safe.

Well started the day with a brand new 990R , put a Leo Vince exhaust on , grabbed some insurance and took it out for its first ride.
I figured its an adventure so it had to be broken in while it was raining. ![]()
