i am not sure if i did it something to my KTM or my beloved orange bike tried to kill me today...
its the first time i see this...ofcourse the stainless steel sprocket win....and aluminium swing arm now is dead.....[IMG][/IMG]

Bugger! But sadly all too common.

Screws should be clean of oil and old loctite.

Use blue loctite on the screws and tighten the nuts, not the screws, as tight as you can.

That will not buff out. Looks as though the major part of the hub is OK....just the sprocket carrier is toast. Might be able to reinforce the swingarm with a plate or 2 but how much do you want to trust it after rewelding it? Not sure if the arms on these bikes are stress relieved and heat treated after they are assembled in the first place.

I remember that happening on an IT175 of mine, but with a steel swingarm it was a lot less damaging.

Keep the footpeg rubbers in place and take the whole damn things off and fit Fastway pegs instead.

Really gives a nice level of stability when standing.

Ebay has both the swingarm and the rear wheel listed right now...FYI

Thank you all for the replys.
Most important is that i didnt had a crash so i am ok....and 2nd most important is that somebody invented EBAY......i found a used swing arm for 100euros and the sprocket carrier for 100 more i think its a very good price....
i called my KTM dealer and only for the swing arm new the price is 1200euros...

Good to hear but MOST importantly you are OK.
Bike parts are cheap, body part and health... not so much.
Fix it, ride it and stay safe.

Well started the day with a brand new 990R , put a Leo Vince exhaust on , grabbed some insurance and took it out for its first ride.

I figured its an adventure so it had to be broken in while it was raining.

Speaking of Harleys... I rode my Super Enduro yesterday, for the first time in two months, in company with a few dozen Harleys and assorted other bikes. Did a charity ride for a mountain tribes school in northern Thailand... plenty of Rebels, Bandidos and the like along.

It felt really weird getting back onto the big girl after 2 months and 5,000km slogging through the mud on the 525 EXC. Such a smooth gearshift... but such a long throw... sorta like changing gears in a VW Beetle. Took a while to get back into the flow of it.
