Of course. Me too. (I own a very impractical Ducati.) The "just" wasn't intended to be diminishing. Meant "only".

OTOH, the other stuff has its place. Hence, the "If".

I hope you all enjoyed the read ! Now all you need to do is form a nice orderly queue down at your local KTM dealer in the morning .........

Thank you for posting that AWESOME article. In almost 30 years of riding I have never loved a bike like I love my 05 950ADV, to this day. I could never have seen a case for me ever selling it......until now. Love what they did with the new bike, loved the comment by Chippy that it (the R) was better than the SE off road, just hope my little legs can reach the ground. If so, this is my next bike. Man, I'm glad I found this!

Best.......Mike

Thanks for posting that article

After reading the reviews it sounds like this new bike is going to be better than I expected.

EDIT: glad I got to see and read the article(s) before it was removed.

Hi Guys-

First, I'm sorry to say I had to take down the images of the 1190 review. That's copyrighted material, and scanning/ posting is an infringement of that.

Bike is an awesome magazine, if we want it to stay that way, they need to sell it. Go buy it on your newstand. It's worth it.

Back to regularly scheduled programming.

No worries, just don't do it again!

For US readers, the best way to get that content is the iPad app- the newstand release might not include that supplement.

My experience is that Bike on the iPad (Apple Newstand) is a lesson in frustration. After multiple attempts, I was able to download the sample only to find it contains only a few pages of fluff. To get more, they want you to buy single issues at about $10 (!) per issue or subscribe (at about $8 per issue), but the subscribe button never works.

Yeah...

The magazine is too heavy and does not have enough ground clearance...They need to make the magazine faster and cheaper with a longer range.....

Hi Mark,

I too had initial problems when purchasing the issue; it seemed that it got stuck and i had to redo the process. However, at some point I just let the ipad sit for a few minutes and then it was all downloaded and worked like a charm. There was not much feedback from the system while purchasing. I guess we have to remember that this is the first issue released on the ipad so there might be initial things they need to work out. Ah, worth mentioning, i did not buy a subscription, only one issue. Good luck!

I will be at the Milan bike show next Tuesday and will be able to get a good look around the new 1190's. And hopefully ask lots of questions !

Anyone got any questions they would like me to ask ?

Glad I read it when I did. KTM is going to make some money as a result thereof.

latest issue is out at the local mag store and it doesn't have the KTM article. I got an email from BIKE and the subscriber issues are delayed because of Sandy.

Pebble35,
Ask them; If I read the article right the new wheels are tubeless; is the new design still going to contain that safety lip that made the tubetype 990 rims so hard to change in the field or is that only necessary on the tubetype tires?

Pebble35, you already have two questions on tyres/wheels...
And you could drop something like "...I've been told that a guy heard that someone read somewhere that a small V Twin is in the works..."
A positive answer will save lots of people from his suffering
