New Tag

O.K., So I stopped by a cemetery, but no one is buried here.
Have fun!

THE SCORPION

I'm pretty sure I know where the powerline tag is, but I won't be able to check my hunch until this weekend.

Hint

So I grabbed the Saline Mills tag yesterday at noon on Hartman road, then I meandered south and east on mostly dirt roads towards Milan township. That is when I stopped to take the new tag picture. The way the noon day sun is glinting off my rearview mirror makes this look like a real "jewel" of a picture. For the detectives in the crowd, maybe I parked on the north side of an east-west road? Then I headed back to Ann Arbor to arrive before 1:00pm when my lunch hour is over.

Hmmm.

No ONE buried in a cemetary, but with gravestones.
Either a pet cemetary, a gravestone sales and carving display?

Nice lunch break desertscorp! It looks delicious and fun! More satisfying than any food!

Jewel rd is r 75 territory. She knows every pothole and piece of gravel on those roads.
I wouldnt be suprised if she picks that off in her sleep.

Sun-tag ride

O.K. I decided to go chase down my powerline hunch today. This is what I found:

Looks like I guessed right. Also a nice little blast up Joslyn Lake Road on a brisk fall day.

Sun-tag continued

I found the powerline tag on reserve, so I figured I better turn around and head for Dexter town. It was starting to get cold and dark, so I figured Ibetter haul (hall) the mail down the road to gas up and head home before it got too late. I took a little shortcut to Dexter-Pinckney Road on a dirt road with the same name as the President. Not Obama, but the then president of the university I attended way back in the sixties. The U. has the same name as the state we live in, and their football team kicks a pretty mean field goal.

Enjoy.

Nice work scorp.
Lets just say the cemetery is "dead" and move on to haul road.

For those following, the pet cemetery was on jewell just west of platt.

Let's just say: "Every picture tells a story don't it?" I looked at the powerline tag and saw: rural, wooded, hilly country; single row of truss-type high tension towers that take an abrupt right turn just two towers in from the road. I also know a friend that lives off of North Territorial & he has a powerline as just described that runs right past his property as it crosses N. Territorial. The very same powerline!

Somebody go shoot a barn this weekend.

Low Blow?

Certainly no low blow intended. Just trying to provide a nice cryptic puzzle for someone to nail the new tag.

Excellent work.

Joslyn Lake Road is one of the better roads (IMHO) in the county.

Im gonna go out this weekend and hunt down this barn, if someone doesnt beat me too it.
The high winds can be a bit nerve racking on the Versys and DRZ... but no problem for the Urals 3 wheels

I am going to try to get out today and get the barn...

Not to kick an apparently dying horse but next weekend looks like some great weather might be a good chance to do the "group" thing.... just a thought if not then I may be headed up to Huron National Forest for some two track stuff...
