Anyone ridden the Michelin T63?
Reading through the posts and saw the discussion on tires and there being lots of sand this year. I have a 244 on the rear with 1K miles on it, still looks great. And a worn 606 on the front. Riding my DR650, new tires are in the back of my mind for the ride. Has anyone ridden the Michelin T63? How does it wear on the road?
Other than the 244, I have only ridden 606's on this bike. This is my daily driver too and while the 606s are a bit noisey on the road I am fine with it. Ride the desert a few times a week coming and going to work, so the knobbies are not a problem. Looking to try different tires and this would be the time to mount up a new set. Thanks! |

stick with what you know. Dunlop 606's are actually a good tire for everything. they do fine in sand. Rocky Mtn ATV/MC has good prices on those. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...ire/dunlop+606 also look at Maxxis Desert IT (harder compound) http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...Tire/maxxis+it or Cross IT (slightly softer compound) http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...Tire/maxxis+it not DOT legal but they are a great tire.

The prices last summer (2011) on tires are what sent me to the 244; it was nearly half of what the 606 was going for at a local shop. I like it so far. Less noise on the street and better cornering than a 606. In the dirt i drop the pressure to a little lower than I did on the 606 and have been happy.
