JP thanks for showing us Cattle mtn. Awesome views.

theredrocket23, thanks for showing me the icy spots in the road. I would have wrecked for sure if I hadn't been following you!

Wink Vacation 2013

Just bidded my vacation for 2013. Due to a retirement my senority went up by one. I finally got Thanksgiving off after 24+ years of time. Now I have over a year to see if I can finagle the LAB2V 2013 ride.

Another fantastic ride led by JPaccassi and Ben. Great scenery and fun trails, we put in around 180 miles from start to finish..Looking forward to LAB2V in a few weeks.

BMW Shop ride

About a dozen or so of us went with Tanner on a day ride up to Big Creek for lunch then on to Mushroom Rock for a look around. Route was Auberry gas station up 168 then onto Jose Basin then Old grade road into Big Creek. From there its a short ride on service roads to the top. I took my Tiger out to break her virginity in the dirt, I can say she did just fine.

Had a great time and met some great people. Found out BMW's run upside down too!.

Meet at Auberry

Bikes from all makes represented, 250's all the way up to the 1200's.

Somewhere on Jose Basin

Lunch, not too dam bad either!

Our destination lies somewhere behind the big rock on top.

The magic Beemer that runs on its back

Have no idea how this happened, low speed spill and the bike ended wrong side up. Somebody must have flashed
a peace sign instead of the two wheels down symbol on the ride up. Damages were not too bad, rider was not hurt at all,
his wallet is about to take an ass kicking though.

Mushroom Rock parking

The view, with smog

The rock..

Up close

Was a great ride and Tanner only had to yell at us once or twice

Damage just what you would guess, mirrors and windscreen, I think the mounts broke too but it wasn't too bad considering. He had one hell of a tough fender box, that saved it from more substantial damages I think.

Laugh Bald Mtn. Lookout Run

Yesterday while you were all at work, I had a couple of hours to burn after mounting my rear MT43. So I decided to make a run up and over Bald Mtn. and out Tamarack Ridge before the temps fell and the snow set in. I forgot how much I liked that tire!

It was an awesome ride with perfect temps and a nice view of a couple control burns. It won't look like that tomorrow.
